Judge Timothy E. McMonagle (Co-Chair)Cuyahoga County Court of Common PleasJudge McMonagle served on the bench for 27 years. He was first elected to the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas in 1982 to serve during the January 3, 1983 term. He served on the Common Pleas Court until September 1995, at which time he was appointed to the Eighth District Court of Appeals by Ohio Governor George Voinovich. He was thereafter elected to serve as Presiding and Administrative Judge for the Eighth District. While serving on the Court of Appeals, Judge McMonagle also sat by assignment on the Supreme Court of Ohio. In 2004, Judge McMonagle was re-elected to the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas and then retired on January 7, 2011. He is currently the Chairperson of the Mental Health Court and Chair of the Veterans’ Service Commission Committee of the Court. Throughout his career, Judge McMonagle has consistently been endorsed in all of his elections and re-elections by the various Bar Associations in Ohio, the Citizens League, the Plain Dealer, The Sun Press, and the major unions in the area.
