Irene C. Keyse-WalkerTucker Ellis & West LLPIrene, a partner in the Cleveland office of Tucker Ellis & West LLP, focuses her practice on appellate work. Since 1982, she has argued hundreds of appeals in state and federal courts on a variety of issues, and she is widely regarded as one of the best appellate lawyers in Ohio. Her practice areas include business and class action litigation, insurance, labor and employment, environmental, mass tort and product liability, and medical privacy. Irene is the first Ohio lawyer to be elected to the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers and she has long been a proponent of the appellate specialty. Cases she has argued before the Supreme Court of Ohio have established standards for punitive damages in product liability and insurance bad faith cases, determined that the birth of a healthy child as the result of medical malpractice is not a compensable damage, and formulated the prima facie requirements of male-on-male sexual harassment claims. Other state and federal appellate decisions include reversals of multi-million dollar jury verdicts in negligence, pharmaceutical, product liability, and Ohio workplace intentional tort cases. Irene has received numerous state and federal appointments, and she has served as both an adjunct professor at Cleveland Marshall College of Law and a faculty member of the NITA Seminar on Appellate Advocacy. She has been recognized as a Leading Lawyer in Inside Business magazine and in Best Lawyers in America. As well, she has been selected by her peers for inclusion in Ohio Super Lawyers magazine every year since 2004. To learn more about Irene, click here. Other Task Force Members
